What does Fibromyalgia do to me?

Unfortunately nothing that somebody really had proven until today. Fibromyalgia starts just the way many infections do: you feel weak, there is an aching in your body, and after a long night’s sleep you get up in the morning and feel as if you had not slept at all. In the course of weeks, months or even years the “fatigue” gets worse, so it goes with the aching, and finally you are always fatigued and your body always hurts badly: and this is Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, and if you tell to your colleagues about it chances are they will think you are just “lazy.”

But no matter how hard you try, the pain and the chronic fatigue will not leave you anymore. If you can afford it, you will maybe go to Hawaii or Florida for a while, you say to yourself just rest and relax and it will go away - but it will not. You will feel how your concentration gets worse, how your thoughts become hazy, how your partners become alienated, how your friends keep a distance and how your boss gets annoyed. But it will not go away. And finally whether you like or not you will have to go to the doctor.
