The opaque illness

Most victims possibly even do not know of their condition. Quite too often people who suffer from clinical relevant chronic fatigue think of themselves as “tired,” “somehow depressed,” “stressed” or “just having a bad time.” In case of doubt they convince themselves that they “just caught some kind of flu,” “go through a midlife crisis,” experience “problems in a long running relationship” or are “bored” by their job.

So multifold are the symptoms, so well disguised as tiny, meaningless manifestations of the usual maladies in life, that the victims more often than not just are reluctant to face the reality: they are seriously sick and most likely will never fully recover.

So it frequently takes them months or even years of needless suffering until they fail in their duties and in their relationships. And it is often just then that they finally see and find a doctor who is willing and able to analyze their real state and diagnose Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.
